Yeah yeah I screwed up the spelling. Haha. Takes a real stubborn person to say that they would still take Suh over the third rookie quarterback to throw for 3,000 yards with the most conservative head coach with bunch of 4th and 5th receivers. Suh is GREAT don't get me wrong. But great quarterback play wins championships. Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson are the exception. No team builds around a defensive tackle and a game manager for a quarterback.

Well maybe they do but they don't aspire to win Super Bowls.

Why would the Rams have only won 2 or 3 games with Suh? Bradford really could be something special, but he really wasn't that good last year. Good for a rookie, yes, but compared to the rest of the league not so much.

Looks like everybody is happy with who they got, but drafting Suh wouldn't have been a disaster at all.

Congrats to Sam. Now, if the Rams can draft a DE opposite of Long and sign or draft a #1 WR, I will be happy.

That's a big one IMO. Not necessarily a DE, but another force on the D line. Otherwise it seems like you get a Jekyll and Hyde performance out of guys like that. Tamba Hali was a great "complimentary" guy to Jared Allen, then disappeared when Allen was traded. Then when there was another decent player on the line, he was great again.

Watched A.J. Feeley lately? No way in hell he would have been an improvement over Bulger-Boller. The Rams averaged 10 pts. per game with those two last year. So let's say for example that Feeley is throwing to the same sorry group of receivers. What do you all think, maybe they score 13 or 14 pts per game? How many teams are winning 6 or 7 games with the offense averaging 2 touchdowns per game? Not happening. Rams would have needed a defense that allowed 14 or 15 pts per game too. That's Steeler territory. Go ahead, someone convince me that Suh would have done that.

Drafting Suh instead of a QB means the Rams have to wait another year to get a QB. None of the '11 QBs are franchise guys. Andrew Luck was. So the Rams have to wait until 2012. To get that once in a lifetime QB (Luck) they gotta finish dead last. So now where we at? Waiting until 2013? Hoping to win the jackpot on another Kurt Warner or find some surprise in the draft? If Suh is that great then the Rams are gonna be winning a bunch of games anyway so they aren't picking at the top. If everyone says a guy is a potential franchise QB, you take him! I'd bet my house that all 32 NFL GMs would do the same.

I agree with that. If they don't replace Hall(who had a great year but I think he's 34), I think they should draft a NT who could replace Robbins.

Feeley wasn't the only QB option. And like I said, Bradford had a great season, for a rookie. He was 12th in yards, which is good, but he was also 3rd in attempts. Yards/Attempt was 30 out of 31 qualifying QB's. He was 25th of 31 in passer rating. 19th in yards per game.
So let's say for example that Feeley is throwing to the same sorry group of receivers. What do you all think, maybe they score 13 or 14 pts per game? Using your Bradford=more points logic, The 2010 Lions allowed 7.8 fewer points per game than the 2009 team. The 2010 Rams only scored 7.2 points per game more than the 2009 team. Obviously Suh had a bigger impact, right?

I don't believe either player had that big of an impact for one second, but you get my point, right?

Drafting Suh instead of a QB means the Rams have to wait another year to get a QB. None of the '11 QBs are franchise guys.
Says who? After his nice season it's easy to forget that Bradford was a good quarterback coming out of a spread offense fresh off of a major shoulder surgery. There was a lot of doubt surrounding him.
Andrew Luck was. So the Rams have to wait until 2012. To get that once in a lifetime QB (Luck) they gotta finish dead last. So now where we at?
Why did it have to be Luck? Nobody has any idea how Gabbert, Locker, Mallett or Newton will be. Scouts were drooling over Locker last year and many of them went on record preferring him to Bradford.
It's not really that easy. JaMarcus Russel was a franchise QB. Calvin Johnson, Joe Thomas, Adrian Peterson, Patrick Willis, Darrelle Revis, Michael Griffin, Dwayne Bowe, Brandon Meriweather and Jon Beason were taken after him in the first round alone. The Texans were laughed at by many people for taking Mario Williams instead of Reggie Bush. Manning or Leaf was an actual legit question, etc. etc.

I'm not saying Bradford was a bad pick or anything, because he looks like the real deal, but drafting Suh wouldn't have been bad at all. Looks like the consensus top 2 guys were legit for a change.

Personally, I would have taken Suh. Mainly because I worry about Bradford's shoulder and the 2011 draft has a lot of good QB prospects. But I understand why the Rams took Bradford and he looks like he has a hell of a future ahead of him. Hell, in 3-4 years this may be a hilarious thread.

What was the final word on how available Michael Vick was this offseason anyway?
