I watched a YouTube video of Sonny’s first press conference as a Cardinal and thought he came across as an interesting person. I was curious as to why a highly desired free agent would sign with the Cardinals. When he decided to stay after his first year and said he would invoke his NTC to stay in St. Louis, he became my favorite player. Of course, he left the next year to go to the Red Sox, but I watch the games he starts and this year he is having the best season of his career. He is 16-4 and has a shot at winning 20 games. The Red Sox have recovered from a terrible April and May to be in the Wild Card hunt. I wish Sonny was still with the Cardinals, we could use an ace in our rotation. But I am happy for him that he and the Red Sox are enjoying success.
