The Yankees made a series of transactions after the game yesterday, sending Jason Dominguez, Anthony Volpe, and Angel Chivilli to AAA. Talk is they will be calling up their number 1 prospect George Lombard, Jr.
Cardinals recalled Dobbins yesterday to make the start today and will be adding Ferguson to the active roster. Some other type of move will be needed since they already have 13 pitchers on the active roster until September when that increases to 14. They also have space for one position player (to replace Noot's spot)

Quinn Mathews has been optioned to Memphis to make room for Ferguson.
Cesar Prieto has been recalled filling Noot's spot on the active roster.
I am less than whelmed.

Maybe just holding space until they can call Baez up w/o affecting rookie eligibility. And no use for Mathews in the meantime.

Prieto is an infielder. Burley is not in the lineup tonight. Did he not prove last night that he could hit a homer off their top lefty?

One of my Baseball Pet Peeves is when a guy has a big game, then gets the day off the next day. Is Burly exhausted from those three trots around the bases? Let the man cook!
