NTCs are purely anticompetitive and terrible public policy, costing both workers and companies hundreds of millions in lost productivity. This is good. This administrative rule is also going to get legally challenged by some industry group, and our corrupt SCOTUS will rule that NTCs are valid contracts, and every employee freely enters into them and could either negotiate them or simply choose not to go to work for an employer that requires an NTC. Which is of course bull [expletive], but that's what the majority is going to find.

Or, as with Buchanan v. Warley, decide against non-compete clauses on such narrow grounds that businesses will develop lots of legal ways to prevent employees and former employees from competing.

Got out of one 6 months early that I never intended to violate and never needed to sign in the first place but I worked for weird, paranoid rich people so whatever. Nice.
