Okay, let's kick this thing off. We have 31 submitted playlists plus one TBD slot so it's like half of March Madness. The first person who submits an additional playlist will take the TBD slot.

I've separated them into 4 brackets named after players from my favorite position, Centerfield: Flood, McGee, Lankford and Edmonds.

The initial matchups by bracket are below. Each contest will have its own thread and poll. Each bracket will have its own voting period, starting with Flood Bracket. The winners move onto the Sweet 16 and so on.

There are a few key battles that are designated as DEATH MATCHES !!!

You may vote or change your vote up until a winner has been declared and the thread is locked.

We have some tight races so we’ll let that play out for a couple more days. I will get the McGee Bracket up tomorrow.

Richie and Kincaid submitted playlists in response to the TBD thread. I thank them and they will square off at the bottom of the Edmonds Bracket.

If anyone else still wants to submit a playlist, please do and we will work you into the remaining brackets.

I'm okay taking an L. But here I was vulnerable, letting you all know I listen to a Prince ripoff from 1995's A Goofy Movie. Everyone else is just a paragon of exquisite taste? What are your guilty pleasures?

I put a lot of money on my blues playlist. I may never financially recover from this.
