What’s the thread through those songs, Kincaid?
It's not so much a logical theme as I tried to make a playlist I thought flowed well together. Starting off with a fun catchy song, then drifting into something chill and mellow and carrying through a few instrumentals I get strong emotional reactions from, and then bookending it with another vocal song I thought reflected the general vibe of the playlist and built up to a climactic conclusion. I tried to structure it with the storytelling concept of rising and falling action in mind where the overall flow builds up to a couple of energetic peaks.
Basically the sort of playlist I imagined might be playing as I was carried along by the river of dreams.
