I have lots of questions. Did Rock know she had alopecia? I didn’t. Shouldn’t Will have been tossed? I assumed Rock was hosting, that’s how little interest I had in watching. Why is he running through the guest roasts presenting a documentary Oscar? Denzel, of course, but why is Bradley Cooper a guy here?

Anyway. I don’t really have a problem with what either of them did—the joke or the slap. I’m interested to see what happens now with these two. Could be something fun.

I'm for comedians being able to make jokes at people's expense, but I'm also for them having to consider whether that's a good idea.

Bizarre that people apparently want Smith arrested for that though.

Not that there's anything wrong with it, but Jada definitely wears the pants in their relationship. Will was laughing at the joke until he caught Jada's reaction, then he knew he had to/was ordered to go stand up for her on live TV.

Here's my thought on it: Of all the people Chris had to say something about, he managed to pick the one person who would end up inciting a confrontation on live TV. Talk about some bad luck.

Looking ahead: who makes a joke about it at next year's ceremony? My money is on Kevin Hart.
