I'm on call, so no drinky drinky for me last night, unfortunately. Although I had dinner with a bunch of friends at a local tapas place. They picked up my tab, the girlfriend of one of my good buddies baked me chocolate chip cookies, and another female friend bought me a couple bombers of Ommegang beer - a Rare Vos and a Three Philosophers... Two of my absolute favorite beers. So it was a good night.

I did get someone to cover my on call duties tonight, which is our site's annual celebratory clambake. 1500 people with a full open bar (beer, wine, and spirits) for 5 hours, unlimited buffet, and unlimited clams/oysters. Last year's bill was almost $300,000. So I can celebrate my birthday tonight instead.

I'm digging the smiley faces on the cooling towers zeus. I think I'm going to change my avatar to that.
