Rant: My Professor Passed Away Over the Weekend

My therapy practicum seminar professor, a man in his early 40's, not in bad shape, had a sudden heart attack over the weekend. Died instantly. He was a brilliant man, involved in many, many ways with the inner-city community in Chicago, finding novel ways to include theatre, play-therapy, and creativity and involvement both at the elementary-school level and yet still be involved at the metropolitan-governmental level. He was one of my grad school's biggest names in Cognitive-Behavioral therapy and I was really looking forward to learning a ton from him.
I had class with him not a week and a half ago (we didn't have class this past week because of Rosh Hashanna(sp?)), and now he's gone. I didn't even really know him that well, but the recency of my contact with him and my respect for him makes this very creepy. I know this is a weird topic because I didn't really know him that well, but sudden, inexplicable death like that just unsettles me and serves to remind us all that there's just no telling how much time we have. Morbid, I know, but it is what it is.
Sometimes, it just seems like there really is no justice. This man did great, great things, and could have done a lot more.
RIP, Dr. Rubenstein.
