I used to get a pop-up message and/or an email notifying me when I had a new private message. I don't usually notice (or look to) the new messages number next to my login and was hoping there's a more blatant notice available. Did something change on the site's side or is there something I need to enable to get that again?

Your notifications are setup to enable pop-ups and email. Did you switch or update/reconfigure your web browser recently?

I haven't, but I'll check with the mister and see if he's been on my computer lately. Knowing that it's likely on my end helps - I was looking in the wrong area of my control panel to find what you said. Thanks!

Nothing has been changed on our end and I still get the pop-up.

In Firefox, Edit--->Preferences--->Content Tab

Is there a box next to "block pop-up ads/windows" that you can check or uncheck? And is there an "Exceptions" box to the right of that?

there is and I have grb listed in the exception list.
