I don't know what to do.

My dad has followed baseball for many, many years. He grew up going to games at Sportsman's Park. He pitched against some minor leaguers when he was younger. We needed a final player for our annual rotisserie league made up of mainly college males. I thought because of his baseball knowledge he would make a good opponent since me and this other guy basically ran away with the league last year.
So far he has dropped to Waivers:
Joe Mauer for Yadier Molina
Fransisco Liriano for Fernando Rodney
Derek Lee for Joe Thurston
*facepalm*
I should have seen this coming since he posts at Cardstalk.

You have to enjoy your fantasy team or it is no fun following. I'd rather have a fun active owner than one who does nothing..

Try to take advantage of him by offering outrageous trades.

I would say just hope Yadi doesn't suddenly become a .900 OPS hitter, Rodney gets 40 saves, and Joe Thurston becomes the starting third baseman for the Cards.
If that happens you'll not only feel bad since you criticized him for bad moves, but won't have any room to criticize since he lucked out on all the moves working.

If my dad knew who any of those players were, I would be happy. He asks me what fantasy baseball is, I explain it, and it is followed by a long pause.

I'd LOVE to play in a league with my dad, man. It's a roto league, and since it isn't H2H, the impact is less for his bad play.
Of course the high waivers players can pick up the guys he drops, but so what. Have fun with it...

There is no fun in fantasy baseball. It's a dog-eat-dog, tooth and nail brawl for the top where only the greatest emerge.
It's War.

How much money does the winner get?
