OFFICIAL "Rate My Team" Fantasy Football Thread

Post by BenNX74205 »

Here's my first draft effort of the season for fantasy football. This is the 3rd year of a league with some of my law school buddies. 12 teams, 4 pts for passing TDs, and no PPR. I had the 7th overall pick, and here's what I walked away with.

QB:
Hasselbeck (6)
Rodgers (11)

RB:
Portis (1)
McGahee (2)
Michael Turner (4)
Chris Perry (10)
Betts (12)

WR:
Holt (3)
White (5)
Driver (7)
Hackett (9)
Devin Hester (13)

TE:
Heap (8)

K:
Josh Brown (15)

DEF:
Patriots (14)

I feel good about this team. The Portis/McGahee and Holt/White starting combinations should be very productive, and Turner and Driver are very good flex/backups IMO. I may have reached for Perry, but the RB situation was pretty slim at that point, and I have a feeling he's going to make a lot of noise this season.

So, what do you think? And post some of your own teams!

That team looks decent enough, hard to adjust for 12 man leagues. No one I really like though, but no one I really don't like.

Here's my Keeper League Team, although I technically still have a pick left since it's been an ongoing draft. 10 teams, 4 pts for passing TDs, no PPR

QB - Derrek Anderson
QB - Vince Young
RB - LaDainian Tomlinson
RB - Joseph Addai
RB - Edgerrin James
RB - Chester Taylor
WR - Braylon Edwards
WR - Chad Johnson
WR - Dwayne Bowe
WR - Santana Moss
TE - Vernon Davis
K - Adam Vinatieri
DEF - Jacksonville

14 team league, only non-standard settings are 1 pt for each reception and we use a head coach. Head coaches get 5 points when their team wins, -5 when they lose.

QB Cutler, DEN
RB Jackson, STL
WR/RB Wayne, IND
WR/RB Turner, ATL
WR Houshmanzadeh, CIN
TE Crumpler, TEN
DEF/ST Redskins
K Graham, CIN
HC Wade Phillips
BN White, ATL
BN Williams, JAX
BN Garrard, JAX
BN Perry CIN
BN BILLS

Shayne Graham.

Crumpler is a Titan.

And that's a very good team for a 14 team league.

Ah, keeper league - I need to read better - your team will be monstrous.

Is the draft order in your league not based on the reverse of order finishing?

It is. He had Westbrook, then made a trade for Peterson during last year's draft.
