Why do you lock a game thread 30 seconds after the game?

That makes no sense.

My thinking is it's annoying sorting through a huge game thread for post game analysis. It's more for posters who aren't around while the thread are active.

And if we left the game thread unlocked, people would post in one or the other and we'd have two identical conversations going at once.

Why do you have to sort through a whole thread for post game analysis? Just go to the end. Seriously, which one of you had the finger on the trigger to lock that thing just as the game ended?

I'm not saying you're wrong, but locking it smells like facism.

The last thread on baseball talk was last posted on April 3. Would two threads really clutter the place?

Because end game analysis can be several pages. When I miss a game, personally I enjoy going right to the post game analysis. I don't understand why a locked game thread would upset anyone. That being said, if most posters hate it we can stop doing it.

I think being consistent as possible about these things is pretty important. It's a policy of GRB to minimizing different threads with the same conversation.

If you can't catch a game personally, you have no right to be an admin.

It's all about caring.

And don't try to come between me and my peeps.

If I bumped an old thread about Izturis, would you lock it?
