Nonstop TV coverage of the national angst here in London this morning. The press conference announcing the firing of the England coaching staff is in process, including head coach Steve McClaren. The Football Association (FA) Board of Directors is getting grilled by the press. They are calling for a complete "root and branch" examination of the national team setup.

We passed a group of very drunk, chanting Croatia fans roaming the streets 3 hours before kickoff. I wonder what they were like after the game...

They take this stuff pretty seriously over here. We're going to a Premier League match on Sunday between Fulham and Blackburn. Should be fun.

I love it. I hate the three lions. They are the footballing equivalent of Notre Dame.

We're going to a Premier League match on Sunday between Fulham and Blackburn. Should be fun.

Do you know anything about the teams? Well this weekend, for me, cheer your heart out for Clint Dempsey, Carlos Bocanegra and Fulham. Brad Friedel, Rovers keeper is American. Other than Deuce and Boca, Fulham has Kasey Keller, their back up keeper and Brian McBride, their injured striker who are American Internationals.

That group of Croatia fans we saw were based at this pub. We passed them on King's Road. I think they agree with your assessment of the three lions.

At Croatia's adopted London pub, the Cadogan Arms, in King's Road, Andrei Wamego, 35, who lives in Hertfordshire, said: "I wanted to see England get knocked out because they are a bunch of overpaid ponces. They are pampered and are a bunch of millionaires kicking a ball around with no spirit."
