Rotoworld sources are relaying that Detroit radio station 1270 AM reported Wednesday that the Lakers and Pistons had a "done deal" as of 6:45 PM on Tuesday that would have sent Richard Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince, Amir Johnson and a first-round pick to the Lakers for Kobe Bryant.
Both teams had reportedly agreed to the deal, but Bryant alledgedly vetoed it with his no-trade clause, apparently not wanting to go to a depleted Detroit team. It will be interesting to see how the Pistons' players mentioned in the deal react to this news. Nov. 14 - 7:39 pm et
While not as good as the Celtics still, a Pistons squad of:
heard some reports of a possible Knicks deal involving Marbury.
I can't imagine why the Lakers would want Marbury, can't imagine why Kobe would want to go to the Knicks, so I can't imagine this is anything other than Knick fans wishing.

I really don't understand the cap etc.. in the NBA, so I don't have a clue how this all would work. But I know Chicago was in the hunt, wouldn't Chicago be a perfect place for Kobe? They have the supporting cast, they just need the star. And while Chicago isn't L.A., it's not that far off.
Just hypothetically what would it take from the Bulls to get Kobe?

Rumor was that LA wanted Gordon and Deng from the Bulls in exchange for Kobe. There is no way the Bulls will give up both of those guys.....possibly not even one of them. I don't care where Kobe goes...as long as it's not to my Spurs! Gag.

Gordon, Deng, Thomas and a draft pick. There were rumors of Noah being asked for as well. Then it was said that Kobe would veto the trade if Deng were involved.
To me, the Bulls can't get Gordon out of here fast enough.
