Okay, okay. I've been laying in a ditch in the Dominican for the last 4 days while I haven't been around. I've gone looking for the secret talisman of Success & Power. If I can make it back to the US in time for the start of the game tonight, I promise the Cardinals can win. And I promise they can keep winning. I stopped in at a local fortune teller. I asked her to predict the game. She said:

Cardinals - 5
Cubs - 3

Pujols will homer. Wainwright will go 7, 6 hits, 3 r, 2 er, 1 BB, 5 K.

She was vague but said a superstar on the rise will overcome recent obstacles to make an impact on this game.

I must go. The guards are coming. Wish me luck, boys.

I have $20 more riding on this series. Normally I'd be ok losing a cubbie-bet, if the Cards were playing well. Not so much this time.

Eckstein was in; apparently has a sore back and has been scratched... Cairo and Spiezio were taking ground balls; TLR opted to go with Speezer... one of them will play 3B.... Ryan moved to SS, batting ninth...will update ..this info from Dan Kriegshauser of 1380.
