I have fond memories of campfire time at summer camp in central Oregon. Some of my favorite songs:

King of the Road
Moonshadow
One Tin Soldier

I still have most of the lyrics to these memorized.

Do your ears hang low?
Do they wobble to and fro?
Can you tie them in a knot?
Can you tie them in a bow?
Can you throw them o’er your shoulder like a Continental soldier?
Do your ears hang low?

I used Google to find some that I remember:

Up in the air junior birdman
Up in the air upside down
Up in the air junior birdman
Keep your noses off the ground

When you hear the grand announcement
that your wings are made of tin.
Then you know that Junior Birdman,
has turned his box tops in.*

For it takes: 5 box tops,
4 bottle bottoms,
3 coupons,
2 wrappers,
and one thin dime!

B-i-r-d, B-i-r-d, B-i-r-d-m-a-n
Birdman, Birdman, Birdman
Buzzzzzzzz!

When you hear the doorbell ring (buzz, buzz)
When you see the badge of tin (tin, tin)
Then you know that junior birdman
Has turned his box tops in.

-----

Late last night, while we were all in bed,
Old Lady Leary hung a lantern in the shed.
And when the cow kicked it over, she winked her eye and said,
"There'll be a hot time in the old town tonight!" FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!

-----

I'm a little coconut, sitting under a coconut tree.
Everybody steps on me, that is why I'm cracked you see.
I'm a nut, in a rut, I'm cra-a-zy.

Called myself on the telephone, just to see if I was home.
Asked myself out on a date. Told myself "Be ready by eight."
I'm a nut, in a rut, I'm cra-a-zy.

Took myself to the picture show. Sat myself in the very front row.
Wrapped my arms around my waist, got so fresh I slapped my face.
I'm a nut, in a rut, I'm cra-a-zy.

Bought some roses at the store, told myself I wanted more.
That's why I broke up with me, now I am a nut that's free.
I'm a nut, In a rut, I'm cra-a-zy.

Coca-Cola went to town, Pepsi-Cola shot him down.
Dr. Pepper fixed him up, now we all drink 7-Up.
I'm a nut, in a rut, I'm cra-a-zy.

7-Up got the flu, now we all drink Mountain Dew.
Mountain Dew went to a shrink, now we all drink from the sink.
I'm a nut, in a rut, I'm cra-a-zy.

-----

I woke up Monday morning and there upon the wall the skeeters and the bed bugs were playing a game of ball.

The score was 19-20, the skeeters were ahead, the bed bugs hit a homerun and knocked me out of bed.

Singing, eany meany meany miny mo, boom boom boom catch a bed bug bed bug by his toe, boom boom boom if he hollers hollers, let him go, eany meany meany miny mo

I went to Camp Taum Sauk in Lesterville Missouri, and we sang a modified version of Country Road, Take Me Home, to be about Lesterville, Missouri.

There aren't a lot of songs about Lesterville, Missouri.
