Mine is from the movie Bull Durham:

Crash Davis: Stop trying to strike every body out! Its boring and its facist! Throw some ground balls, its more democratic.

Yogi Berra has so many. Here's my favorite.
If you can't imitate him, don't copy him.
The story goes that, while coaching the Mets, he was watching Ron Swoboda hitting from an extreme crouch in batting practice. When Yogi asked him why, Swoboda told him it was because that was the way Mickey Mantle hit. Yogi then uttered the line above.

Rogers Hornsby wrote:People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.
Pretty much sums it up for me.

Also applicable in the modern era with Albert Pujols at the plate. :D

Pretty much anything that comes out of Joe Morgan's or Steve Phillip's mouth. Steve Lyons is a close second.

The GRB tournament notwithstanding, this quote involves my entries for the greatest (character aside) ballplayer and the greatest pitcher who ever played.

Ty Cobb talking about Walter Johnson:
"His fastball looked about the size of a watermelon seed and it hissed at you as it passed."
