Little Dunc

Don't look now, but he's got an OPS of 930.

Who needs a glove anyways?

(I know he's doing it against AAA pitching. Nobody pitches their actual starters in ST.)

And JRod is rocking it at 1.109

Anyone know what their splits are against lefties?

not sure, but I know from looking at stats it appears that Duncan is playing most of the games and staying in against lefties... guess Tony is dedicated to seeing what he has to offer and get him better all around hitting

here are his stats from what I've seen overrall this spring:

Player G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI TB BB SO SB CS OBP SLG AVG
1. C Duncan
15 43 9 12 1 0 4 8 25 6 10 1 0 .367 .581 .279

he is leading the team in home runs, rbi, hits, runs, and total bases...

I have a good feeling about this kid. VERY excited about seeing him play a full season.

He showed some pretty good stuff out of him today. He still gets crossed up in the outfield as far as I can tell, but not bad overall.

Duncan dominates in MLB 2k7, I hit about 1 homerun per game with him

Near as I can tell, almost every starting pitcher in the majors the past couple of weeks in ST has been a major leaguer, with the occasional rookie thrown in for good measure. True, in the middle or later innings, we're seeing some AAA and AAAA guys, but we're seeing major leaguers out there. It's not accurate to say that our batters are doing well against minor-league pitchers, or that our pitchers are doing well against minor-league batters.

My son has it for the PS/3. I'm not a video game person, but I have to admit it's pretty good. You have to hit by pushing the controller forward, which takes some getting used to. The graphics are unreal, I've just sat and watched him at times and it's almost like I'm watching a regular game.

I'm just watching the game yesterday on my new mlb.tv subscription, and Dunc had two chances in LF in the first inning. The first one he made the play, but didn't look like he got a good break on it. The second one on the ball that short hopped the wall he by all rights should have torn every ligament in his knee and ankle, and snapped his femur. He is just so unathletic out there, a bull in a china shop. Not a text book case of how to play a ball off the wall.

Anyone think "football player" when you watch him out there?
