I'm a huge Yadi fan...Obviously he hit a hot streak AT THE RIGHT TIME this year...But can he hit all season long? He's going to play (and I agree with him playing) on a daily basis no matter what, but if he can hit half as good (literally) as he did in the postseason, he will be a huge addition to the team.

From June to July in 2005, Abraham Nunez hit .364 in over 120 at-bats. I do not consider Nunez to be a good hitter.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that the postseason of Yadi doesn't inspire me all too much, because it's not unprecedented.

ahh the yadi is a hitter dream is a sure that it is spring somewhere.
I am crossing my fingers and praying to my hitting gods that yadi can hit, because i love to root for him and want him to stay a card for a long time.

I probably agree with this.

Hell, to me...If Yaddy wants to hit .214 in the regular season again and 15,000 in the post season again, I'm fine with it. Good post seasons make up for bad regular seasons in my opinion.

Hell, to me...If Yaddy wants to hit .214 in the regular season again and 15,000 in the post season again, I'm fine with it. Good post seasons make up for bad regular seasons in my opinion.

Yeah, but isn't using the short Winter Ball stats to tell us what kind of hitter Yadi is just as silly as using his Post Season stats? I understand greenback used the Winter Ball stats to show that Yadi wasn't able to keep up his hitting from the Post Season, but what if his Winter stats were great? Would that have been proof that he's turned a corner any more than what the Post Season showed us?

I think Yadi will be closer to his career numbers (with minor increases due to growth). A line of 260/315/375 isn't unreasonable, even for Yadi. And I'd be happy with a line like that.

Yadi would be a great candidate for a GRB group projection...
