When they fired Gerardi they thought they found gold with Thompson. What a difference a few years makes.

His son is the GM and he's been in baseball for about 50 years - I hope he does. Guy hasn't been able to win the World Series no matter where he has been, no matter what his role has been.

It’s a 96-win team with a very good roster that had a crummy start. Great spot to install your dad as manager as long as Alex Cora says no.
