While driving to work this morning on East bound 10 heading toward Phoenix, I glanced over at the silver BMW passing me and noticed the woman driving was texting...with both hands on her phone...no hands on the wheel....not looking at the road....while passing me when I had my cruise set at 73....

No wonder we have so many traffic fatalities on Az. highways.

Hey, at least she wasn't trying to put on eye liner at the same time.

I was reading a comic book while shaving with an electric shaver and brushing my teeth while I was changing the channel on the radio and snapchatting and was still able to check out the hot chick while driving 74 mph....

I managed to get a picture of her at the stoplight on the offramp...

I've started honking my horn at people I see texting while driving. Half of the time I get dirty looks, the other half put their phone away quickly because they feel they got caught doing something wrong.

I was just outside having a smoke with a friend and witnessed a near pile up on Highway 40 going East just before Jefferson. Some idiot in a truck lost control and ended up in the median against the cable barrier. After hitting the pole with the front right of his truck he spun around and was facing the highway slightly in the wrong direction. Of course he just couldn't wait for a proper break in traffic (which could have taken awhile) so he decided to go for it anyway. His turn back onto the highway took him through nearly two lanes and everybody else had to slam on their brakes. One car was almost caught in between the truck and another car but amazingly they made it through. We were cringing and waiting for the crunch but they squeaked through and missed the truck and the other car by less than a foot each. Then their momentum and trajectory from avoiding that near crash was taking them directly into the concrete wall on the right side of the highway but somehow they managed to go into a skid and get going in the right direction again before slamming into that.

They kept going down the highway after that display of amazing crash avoidance. I would have gotten off at Jefferson to clean the poo out of my pants.
