Anybody else rooting for Tagg?

Post by picasso »

If both Edmonds and Encar begin on the DL, I hope Bozied gets a coupla weeks to showcase.

J-Rod deserves one spot. Skip deseverves the other, but carrying both So and Skip seems superfluous to me. Cut So or send down Skip and give Tagg a chance.

Or cut PW and keep all the above. Bozied is a 3 years removed Emil Brown. I was rooting for him too.

StL loves underdogs with uncommon names, he could be the next Bo Hart, Rex Hudler, or Bud Smith.

I think Cabrera or Marrero would make the team before Bozied would.

Tagg's lack of defensive flexibility is what is going to hurt him. Being basically just a 1B will limit his usefulness to the team. I know he has played an inning or 2 in the OF in spring training, as well as in the past, but I can't see him making the big league squad and being able to play OF. Obviously if he continues to hit at AAA, maybe they shift him to OF more often (ie: Duncan) and see how quick he picks up the position. But the boy can rake...

I'm not rooting for Bozied. He's a Boras bonus baby who held out for big bucks and never made it to the big leagues. I don't much care if he ever does.
