FORT MYERS, Fla. — He was able to keep it hidden for a good chunk of spring, but on Tuesday it was apparent that manager Tony La Russa did go through with the promise to his two daughters after winning the World Series: He got a tattoo.
La Russa thought about getting an earring when he won a second championship, but his daughters talked him off that ledge and onto another — ink.
It may not have the vibrant color of Tyler Johnson’s tattoos or the sentiment of Scott Spiezio’s, but on La Russa’s right shoulder, spiraling around the shoulder and spiking down his biceps, is a tattoo design he called “tribal”. It is all dark, black curves, hooks and spires.
He’s going to come up with a deep meaning for the design.

Lame choice. It's cool looking, but man is it overdone.heyzeus wrote: It may not have the vibrant color of Tyler Johnson’s tattoos or the sentiment of Scott Spiezio’s, but on La Russa’s right shoulder, spiraling around the shoulder and spiking down his biceps, is a tattoo design he called “tribal”. I'm assuming it's like this, which seems to be the conformist rebel's tattoo style of choice these days:cardinalkarp wrote:where did you see a pic??ghostrunner wrote:Lame choice. I at least give Tyson some credit for putting it in a bold location.
