If Kinney is out for awhile

does it mean that we'll leave ST with 3 lefties in the pen? The numbers seem to suggest that this might happen.
Looper appears to have an inside track on a starting job, which pushes Thompson into the pen with Franklin and Hancock. My man-crush Andy Cavazos has not done anything to distinguish himself as an alternative to Kinney, while Ricardo Rincon appears to be fully recovered. TJ and Flores have done nothing to lose their jobs.

Cardinals reliever Josh Kinney will have surgery on a ligament in his right elbow and is likely out for the season.
The Cardinals are expected to make an announcement on Kinney following today's spring training game.
Earlier this week Kinney described a "tingling sensation" in his right arm after a second consecutive rocky outing this spring.
Kinney, who had more than 100 total innings in relief last season, was projected as a potential setup man for the Cards this season.
This is his second elbow surgery, right?

Throughout the middle to the end of the season, I was wondering why Kinney was even up with the club. He seemed to always give up at least one run for each inning he pitched. Then in September he settled in and really grew on me as a reliever and I had high hopes for him this season. It's really disheartening to see this happen.
