Actually, Salas is doing well for the Angels. He's 3-0 with a .236 BAA, 25 Ks vs 10 BBs in 24 innings. That's pretty impressive. Did you even look at his stats before you said he wasn't doing well?
You know mikechamp always uses blue font, right?
Yeah, I wasn't being sarcastic, and I'm not permanently sarcastic. As was stated, I always use that color font and have for... oh, about 8-10 years and thousands of posts.
Why? Blue font = sarcasm
Not when it's mikechamp. Blue is just blue then.

Actually I never got the blue font = sarcasm. If you have to tell someone you are being sarcastic, what fun is it?
I remember it starting at Cards Talk due to someone not catching the sarcasm and taking offense. Cue the other person trying to explain sarcasm and by the time the dust settled no one remembered what the discussion was originally about. This happened enough times that some of us suspected that several of the posts were trolls doing what they do best and hiding behind a sarcasm wall. Finally someone suggested a special designation for sarcastic posts. Why they chose blue font I don't know, but it ultimately stuck.
I think it's continued to stick as well. I saw a "blue font" reference the other day in an STL Today article by Bernie or DGoold.

This is hilarious.
It was hilarious. I was the one who somewhat sarcastically suggested using the blue font. Somehow it has stuck and has taken on a life of it's own ever since.

Cubs released RHP Joel Pineiro.
The 35-year-old right-hander had been attempting to make a comeback and was pitching at Double-A Tennessee. In 22 1/3 innings, he posted a 4.43 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 10/4 K/BB ratio. It's unclear if he'll explore an opportunity with another team, or if this is the end of the road for him.

He's one of the reasons I happily left CT. Seemed like a guy who was too power-hungry (though he never said anything to me about my default font color choice).

Bernie breaks it down.

http://www.stltoday.com/sports/columns/ ... 622df.html

* Axford has been terrible.
* Father Time is catching up with Beltran in a big way.
* We've discussed the complete disappearance of David Freese's power.
* Poor Pete Kozma has a .638 OPS in Memphis.
* Mujica's been a disaster.
* Salas has been pretty good!

Blue Jays acquired OF Adron Chambers from the Astros for LHP Alejandro Solarte and INF Will Dupont.
Chambers was batting .281/.356/.416 with two home runs and 15 RBI through 102 plate appearances this season for the Astros' Triple-A affiliate in Oklahoma City. Known primarily for his speed, the 27-year-old had been caught on three of four stolen base attempts. He's doubtful to make any sort of positive impact in Toronto.

I still hope to see Adron do well.
