As in, a feral cat we started feeding so she wouldn't starve.
She's not quite trusting us yet but she is pleased as punch
about the 2x a day grub and is very vocal about it. She also
told me my taste in champagne was abysmal. I have no idea
how she knows this.

Her name is [expletive]. [expletive] Galore. I'm frankly not quite sure
about this, but Mrs. Pop insisted.

I wanted to name her 'Mr. Peterson' but that got shot down by
the both of them. Also, Mrs. Pop got on my case about my
taste in champagne. What?

I suspect they're in league against me.

Dogs might be better for me, all things considered.
Missed this, good for you and [expletive], pop! How's she faring a week later; warming up to you? Did you take her to the vet?

A few years back, I took my 7 y/o stepson hiking in the Grand Canyon. As a reward and as part of our road trip, I took the cactus loving little guy south to Saguaro National Monument then on to Tombstone. Spent a night in Columbus, N Mex (only placed in continental US occupied by foreign invaders- or something like that) and as we were headed off early in the morning, I thought it would be fun to skip across the border into the little Mexican town so he could say he'd been to Mexico. The US Border Patrol didn't think that our 15 minute trip into Palomas was so clever or innocent and we got pulled aside for a drug/contraband check. They brought out the drug sniffing German Shepherd to go over and through our stuff. We laughed our asses off when he popped his head out of the car with Jack's George Washington GI Joe in his mouth.
I wonder if he had to go back for retraining.

yep. I'm not so young btw. He was on his side in his kennel/crate sort of gasping when I brought him outside. The medics said he arrested but they got him back.
