That's very tough to think about. End of an era with plenty to be excited about. Onward and upward.
I didn't realize that Jones was 32. Dempsey could be back. I wouldn't put it past him.

Field players don't play in a meaningful way in a World Cup at 35. If Dempsey is back, it's probably more an indictment of the US's talent level than anything.

It's a silly exercise, but 2018 with every defender sans Beasley returning, Green and Zelalem giving some attacking flair to the midfield, another cycle of development from Altidore and Johannsson, and Guzan at the back? Plenty to be excited about indeed.

Missourah-ans laugh that they mispronounce Courtois....Not Court-wah... it's either Co-de-way, or just plain Curtis.

One of our biggest needs going forward is a left back who can do what Fabian Johnson does. Beasley did an admirable job, considering his age and the fact that he played most of his career as a midfielder. But, I thought his delivery and ball control on runs from that position were awful all tournament. Personally, I don't see Timmy Chandler as that guy. He has not impressed me with his runs or ability to deliver good balls.

Makes me wonder if Yedlin could play left back. We have 4 years for a true left back to emerge, though. Hopefully someone shows up.

I'm just not ready to admit that Dempsey is through with the USMNT. Favorite player all time. Can't give up on him.

Honestly im a little emotional thinking about him and Howard. Got 5-6 more years watching the Sounders though. That helps.

Move him back to lb and start Yedlin at RB. If he's better deployed as a winger, keep an eye out for Colorado's Chris Klute.

Friendly reminder to everybody that MLS is super fun and KC is a really good team. If you're a Missouri person, StL isn't gonna get a team so consider checking out a game in KC. Matt Besler & Graham Zusi play there. Live soccer is even better.

I've been trying to come up with a way to watch MLS games. Wonder how many of their matches are on ESPN3. Might try to catch some that way.

Starting next year, all of them (big part of their new tv deal). Right now, none, but the MLS live subscription will probably be reduced on their website here pretty soon.

Lots of local support too, I see Sporting KC gear constantly and most of my friends have been to a game or two. Granted, winning the championship last year helps in those regards...
