What truly sucks is that since streaming killed every video store on earth, when HBO memory holes a show like Westworld, it literally no longer exists in any form.
And this is why I still buy CDs.

Yeah, I said it. Come at me.
For whatever reason I don't have the same concern with music. That's always been limited relative to everything that's out there available. Even when I had over a hundred albums or so on cassette and CD, that's still nowhere near what I've had access to post Napster and now Spotify - which I largely don't have an issue with outside of what they pay artists. As a service I'm happy with it. I did try Tidal but it didn't pan out.

But I do collect Blu-Rays of all the movies I like the most, and I'm up to about 35 or so. I borrow them from the library once in a while too if it's a movie I haven't seen and isn't available on my streaming services.

I dare you to try to watch the Danny Boyle film 28 days later without buying a physical copy.
I don't wanna show you up, brochacho, but it looks like it's $3.99 to rent on Amazon Prime Video?
Oh god how embarrassing. I mistook 28 DAYS later for 28 WEEKS later, the one that can only stream on something called "Tubi."

I will never recover from this.

I was listening to the great Chapo podcast miniseries "Hell On Earth" about the 30 years war, and they mentioned "The Name of the Rose" as a period murder mystery set at a monastary. Was intrigued, Sean Connery is in it, F. Murray Abraham, etc. Can't watch it anywhere. Not streaming.

I have the book. Didn’t know it was a show. Gave up on reading it once. Always meant to get back to it. Jocephus is good for finding this stuff on YouTube.

Amazon made Name of the Rose into a show a few years back with John Turturro. No idea if it was any good. I’ve seen the movie and remember liking it.

Never mind. Wasn’t Amazon. Doesn’t seem to be available either. Looks like it might be on AMC’s service but I don’t have that.

yeah - I remember seeing it in the theater too. Has a very young Christian Slater in it. Surprised you can't find it anywhere.

It’s crazy they’re making tv I would absolutely be interested in and I literally have no idea for years because there’s so much tv. Eff the writers, viewers need to go on strike.

Succession should....
[SHOW]
end with Logan returning from the dead to retake control of the company, thus spinning off into the new series Zombie Succession.
