In the brief moment between when it happened and when they showed Richard Harrow, when the Phantom of the Opera song played, I grinned as wide as I've ever grinned.thrill wrote:One inch below the eye.

Zombies are the only thing that give me nightmares. I always struggle to fall asleep on Sunday nights, waking up with my adrenaline pumping at 3 am makes for a bad morning when I have to get up at 5:30.Jocephus wrote:i thought "the walking dead" was great
But I agree, it was awesome.

New season of HBO's "In Treatment" just got going last week. If you haven't given this show a chance yet, you owe it to yourself to do so.
I know I'm biased, but this show is awesome. Well written, very well acted (Gabriel Byrne is phenomenal) and the most realistic representation hollywood has so far come up with of the therapeutic relationship.

The Walking Dead is my dream show. Seriously. I can not possibly think of a show I'd rather watch more. I've tried to write it myself. Someone finally did it for me.
It was the perfect pilot. I am literally counting down the minutes until episode two. I'm just in awe.

It was awesome. All ready disappointed there's only 6 episodes. We need the standard 22. Come on AMC.PujolJunkie wrote:The Walking Dead is my dream show. Seriously. I can not possibly think of a show I'd rather watch more. I've tried to write it myself. Someone finally did it for me.

I know how you feel because that's how I feel about Boardwalk Empire. It's a show about the mafia that's historically accurate (well... close to it, anyway). Martin Scorsese produced it, a Sopranos writer wrote it, and it stars a healthy chunk of Sopranos veterans. If there ever was a show that was genetically engineered for ol' Uncle JL, this is it.PujolJunkie wrote:The Walking Dead is my dream show. Seriously. i gotta be honest...im 3 episodes behind boardwalk empire (including this past sundays)...and i can't get into it...i want to like it and there are things i do like about it, but generally speaking, it doesn't do anything for me
edit: and those who are friends with lukethedrifter on facebook, i have concluded, that he looks like the lead character in "the walking dead"

That was the very first thing I thought when I watched that show. No bull [expletive]. I'm glad someone else said it.Jocephus wrote:edit: and those who are friends with lukethedrifter on facebook, i have concluded, that he looks like the lead character in "the walking dead"

Top Gear is a great show, as we have discussed before, but I can see why TV execs in the US wouldn't just syndicate it. Clarkson, for starters, is a dick, and says a lot of negative things about the US and about American cars. Right there half the heartland would probably turn off the show. The humor of James May and Richard Hammond would probably be lost on a lot of viewers as well. To top it off, a lot of Americans probably wouldn't even understand their accents, not that they're even difficult. I remember when I introduced the BBC Office to my friends in college they had to watch it with subtitles because they couldn't understand what they were saying.thrill wrote:One of my favorite shows. The History Channel is producing an American version which is going to suck. I don't know why they'd make an American version when the original is so damn good. Just syndicate it, fools.jim wrote:Has anyone ever seen Top Gear? They did a 60 minutes thing on it Sunday, looked like my kind of show, found out Comcast has back issues for free, watched a couple of episodes Maybe the best show every aired. That is my kind of TV right there.

Have you been watching any of Idiot Abroad? I love it. Part travel show, part podcast, it's perfect. I think it should be Karl's new full-time job.
