Only watched the first two seasons, so take it fwiw, but there can't ever be a hostile takeover without the loss of Logan, their lead character, no? Regardless if you find the show entertaining as a hilarious dark parody on the business world or as a compelling business drama, it only works with the inner power struggle between Logan/Kendall/the family. But a clear win/loss for anyone means the loss of those characters either via a removal from the company or jail time which is bad for the show. So, they all have so much plot armor it's tough see a clear path forward. It'll be interesting to see where they go from here, though, it doesn't sound like I'm missing much by waiting.go birds wrote: ↑November 17 21, 9:22 amI'm a couple episodes behind on succession, but i felt the first 3 episodes of this season were pretty damn good.
i do feel like "something" needs to happen soon though...they've been building up the hostile takeover for 3 seasons now.
greg remains my favorite character on the show

thats kinda my issue...there's really no power struggle. hard to really explain without getting too spoilerly. can't really have this conversation though since you've only seen 2 seasons lolAWvsCBsteeeerike3 wrote: ↑November 17 21, 9:36 amOnly watched the first two seasons, so take it fwiw, but there can't ever be a hostile takeover without the loss of Logan, their lead character, no? I'll probably never watch it, don't worry about spoilers, lolgo birds wrote: ↑November 17 21, 10:15 amthats kinda my issue...there's really no power struggle. hard to really explain without getting too spoilerly. can't really have this conversation though since you've only seen 2 seasons lolAWvsCBsteeeerike3 wrote: ↑November 17 21, 9:36 amOnly watched the first two seasons, so take it fwiw, but there can't ever be a hostile takeover without the loss of Logan, their lead character, no? Is succession worth it? I can't decide if I want to jump in or not.
I hope you dig it as much as I did. Make sure to watch an episode all the way through. They can... go to unexpected places.

I don't want to spoil it in any way, but you will soon come upon a CLASSIC Tom-Greg scene/line.go birds wrote: ↑November 17 21, 9:22 amI'm a couple episodes behind on succession, but i felt the first 3 episodes of this season were pretty damn good.

i've found the only time i truly enjoy tom is when he's paired with greg. otherwise he comes off as a bit of a cuck

I gave up on Succession because I found it a little more excruciating than delicious--but it was definitely both.
What a terribly cynical show.

I gave it a try, based solely on your posts.Michael wrote: ↑November 15 21, 10:02 amEveryone is sleeping on this show. Just sayin'Michael wrote: ↑October 27 21, 10:21 amHow To with John Wilson on HBO is fantastic. Do not miss it. Trust me.
I watched 2 episodes from Season 1 (Memory and Splitting a Check). They certainly had funny moments, but it just didn't hold my interest. Sorry.
