They are apparently also interested in Benicio Del Toro.
No joke.

On a better, less weird note, they're making an "Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test" movie. Gus Van Sant (Milk, Drugstore Cowboy) is set to direct. No idea who they'll cast as Ken Kesey, though Van Sant said Heath Ledger would've been perfect (I agree with that assessment).
This makes me happy.

Re: Recently viewed movies
no one cares about your made up imaginary movie, Stache.
We're talkin' 'bout Carrey, Del Toro, and Sean Penn in The Farrelly Brother's Presents The New Adventures of the Three Stooges. Get with the program.

Ha... the weirdness of that precludes me from even knowing what to say.
Plus, I've been hoping for a while now that they'd make "Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test" into a movie.

It's not even a biography. They're just playing the characters. It's either going to be glorious or gloriously awful. It's guaranteed to be insane.
I think Electric Kool Aid Acid test will play a little like Fear and Loathing, which may be held against it. I've never actually read it, only read about it, so I may be way off there.

I'm actually glad it's not a biopic. Can you imagine a biopic, directed by the Farrellys, about the Three Stooges?clevername wrote:It's not even a biography. They're just playing the characters. It's either going to be glorious or gloriously awful. It's guaranteed to be insane.
I think Carrey is a fantastic choice.... for Moe. Jack Black would make a decent Curly. Hmm.... howzabout Carrot Top as Larry? And don't say it'd be disreputable, because I think it's crazy that they think it's a good idea to re-make the Three Stooges. Penn and del Toro are insane choices.
Since it's Van Sant, that should keep it away from the realm of chicanery that Fear and Loathing entered. Fear and Loathing was done by Terry Gilliam, a man who has made movies about time-traveling midgets, brought the world of a schizophrenic to life in "The Fisher King", and cast Brad Pitt as this guy:I think Electric Kool Aid Acid test will play a little like Fear and Loathing, which may be held against it. How does that stuff work? Does the fake money get you anything, or is it just amusement/bragging rights?ghostrunner wrote:I just sold my "short sell" of Watchmen on HSX. I made a boatload off fake money off that movie tanking.
Just bet about half of those winnings on Where the Wild Things Are.
