And we see now why it was silly to overreact when Stanton wasn't traded two weeks ago. I would think the Marlins want some resolution by the middle of December, but who knows with this group.

Very true. They could ask for the Adam Eaton package for Yelich and something a little lighter for Ozuna. Realmuto and Bour would fetch decent returns. Stanton would be playing for the 2012 Astros.

I meant, I wonder if they actually told Stanton that, or it is just conjecture based on what probably would happen if Stanton blocks a trade.
