Good effort last night against a really great team. Outplayed them for most of the 1st and 3rd periods, but the difference was the Jets' ability to finish compared to ours.
I’m just hoping Thomas’ lower body injury isn’t serious.
We cannot afford to lose him for any length of time

For the first time in my life, I will probably watch more Blues games than I do (did) Cardinal games.

Last night's game was fun to watch! So much good young talent!
I will say, the one thing that scared me was all the high danger chances TOR had. Binnington was outstanding. That game could have easily been 5-5 and overtime.

I’ve been happily shocked at how great Broberg has been. I had hoped he might be (not even) this good by the end of his two year deal.
And with all our young middle six talent, we just need 1 or two to elevate to being scoring line players. If it’s Holloway, steal of the century.
I still expect the kids to struggle at some point, especially with Thomas out for 6+ weeks (evaluated after 6 weeks iirc, then not in game shape). Also if binnington and hofer face this many high danger chances every night, at some point they will wear down.
But there is so much speed and young talent that they are fun to watch!
If Broberg can be the next top pairing dman for the next decade, that makes the blues’ window so much more likely to open in 2-3 years! (Still need another top pairing dman imo. I expect Parayko to age fairly well with his height, but he shouldn’t be your 1/2 when he’s 34 and at some point starts to lose some speed.

St. Louis Blues forward Jake Neighbours signed a two-year contract extension worth $7.5 million Tuesday.
good deal for both sides
not like EDM was going to try and get us back next year, but this eliminates that option
Dang I missed this. Pretty solid move. Very solid middle six money for two years. A couple good years and I can see him getting saad/perron type money in his next deal.
