As Rad noted earlier, it's rumored the only reason Buick exists is due to the brand's massive popularity in China. I saw Buick Excelle's (re-skinned Verano) in China all over the place when I was there last year. Otherwise I suspect Buick would have been canceled just like Oldsmobile.

Pontiac is gone as well.
It's fact that the only reason Buick is around is because of China. It's just huge over there. Sadly Pontiac died, along with it the G8 which is one of the best cars produced in the last 50 years. We have the Chevy SS now though which is going to be great, but expensive and exclusive I think. So it's not the same.

So now that we have the politics thread turned car thread is any one here in to classic cars? Anyone have one? I've been on a two year hunt for a road runner, sadly they are suffering a bit of over valuing right now because most of the first tier collector cars are all snatched up and over priced so people are moving on to things like the Road Runner. I just want one because my Dad used to have one. I found a Super Bee once and almost pulled the trigger but the rear was smashed pretty hard and would have taken probably 30k to make right.

My first car was a '65 Mustang. Does that count?

My dad has had several super bees. He loves those more than any car.
