I'll repeat my question from page 2 or 3 of the thread: what specifically are you seeing on the field that suggests this? Again, not attacking you - just want to know what you're seeing that perhaps others are not.
I've seen some suspect defense. Mistakes that I wouldn't necessarily expect marginal players to turn into errors.

On the managing side, I wonder why BDunc is sitting on the bench yesterday afternoon.

The problem is we are two weeks into a season with a team that we knew wouldn't score many runs and we already have two threads saying basically the same thing.

And, since you don't seem to appreciate putting words into your mouth, can you please share that with your fellow man? Character assasination and an insult aren't the same thing.

Next time we have a thread on focus, or fire, or intensity, etc... I'll just stay out of it and maybe it will take the course you would like it to take.

If duplicaton or triplication of a thread is a part of what bothered you, then just say that. I'm not too proud that I can't request a mod to merge my thread starter into another thread.

Not sure I understand your second paragraph.

Finally, I'd rather you participate than not. Just keep in mind I'm nuts about the Cards, have been since I was 6 years old and insulting players and personnel is always absent from my agenda unless you have a player flipping off fans or ostentaciously being disprespectful and patronizing to we the fans.

Mike and Mike just got done interviewing Jim Leyland. They were comparing Lou's outburst to Jim's outburst from last year.

Jim said he had to get on his team because they were not prepared to play. Went on to say that it started with him that he didn't have them prepared. Then said fans have a right to know what is going on with their team and why they are playing so bad.

Jim Leyland acknowledges there are days and games when the team isn't ready/focused/what ever word you want to use. He also says fans have a right to know.

So it is not that crazy for Dan to ask what is going on, is it talent, or is it not being prepared.

I'm not sure anyone's saying that lack of effort, desire, hustle, what have you, is non-existent. I think they're just saying that it's pretty much impossible for Joey Sixpack on a couch to know or gauge it on TV.

That's Danny Sixpack to you, RC.

When asked about the offensive woes after the game yesterday TLR took the blame and specifically mentioned the team is not prepared. Whether he really feels this way or is simply shouldering the load for now is debatable. If TLR is indeed being genuine, keeping in mind this is mostly a veteran team, then count me in as curious to what the players/coaching staff are doing (or not doing) that is causing this.
