That seems surprising. I could have sworn there were a few starts during his "injured years" where he got absolutely tattooed.Jocephus wrote:
Kyle Lohse, who missed his last start with a sore elbow, gave up six runs and four homers in 4 2/3 innings in a loss to the Twins on Thursday.
Lohse probably wasn't ready to pitch tonight. It's the first time he's ever given up four homers in an outing, and it's the first time since Aug. 2001 that he's allowed six earned runs. If his elbow doesn't bounce back over the next couple of days, he still might end up on the DL.

Tony Rasmus takes a North Alabama HS coaching job.
I guess Toronto was just too far away from the Moon Pies and RC for Tony to hang out in that video room, so he got a real job instead.

White Sox designated INF Tyler Greene for assignment.
With Gordon Beckham set to return from the disabled list, Greene will be sent outright to Triple-A Charlotte if he clears waivers. He batted just .222/.263/.352 in 22 games with the White Sox.

Jeremy Bonderman started today for Seattle. Was surprised to see that. I'm always shocked to see Jamey Wright's name in box scores as well.JoeMcKim wrote:How has Kip Wells been able to extend his career until 2013, I thought he should've been out of baseball years ago. Being a starting pitcher who doesn't get injured makes you a really high commodity in MLB, I guess.

Checking in on Colby...Fangraphs has him at 1.4 WAR to this point. Pretty good so far, but can he keep it up? Fangraphs has him as a positive fielder so far, and an above average hitter - he's slugging .457 and has 9 HR's (110 wRC+).
Bad news is that his BABIP is .357, so he might regress. Worst: his K-rate is a Dunn-like 33%, which is 7th worst in all of MLB with a qualified # of plate appearances. His previous worst was 27.7% in 2010, and he's up almost 10% over last year.

He was probably gearing up for bonnaroo.
