VEB had a solid blog post that I agree with re: Walker. Might be worth swapping him with Yepez if Walker doesn't make adjustments soon. There's pressure to start him to get regular ABs but if he's not raking at the plate, he's a detriment on both offense and defense.
Things would be different if Gorman didn't have a stranglehold on the DH spot right now.
Interesting and not saying it doesn't make sense but if Walker had started the season in Memphis to "work on defense" the outcry would have been hilarious.
I'm still unconcerned about the defense. Haven't rtfa but most of the negative in the numbers so far is throwing and one misplay in the outfield can be worth almost a run, so I'd take early numbers with a giant grain of salt and certainly not do the /150 extrapolation nonsense.
He's fast and has a cannon. I think he'll be fine even if he's never Vlad out there. If they aren't going to give him time to make adjustments he shouldn't be up yet, but I get the argument since he seems like he's being outplayed by 4-5 guys.
