This is exactly right.

He couldn't have handled this any better. Man, what a difference 4 years has made for him. Total hats off. Go Cavs.

Peole are already looking ahead 2 years and hoping the Cavs are in the finals the same time as the GOP convwntion would be. That's pretty presumptuous to think that the GOP will exist in 2 years.

This. The storyline of him coming home or w/e is nice and all but he's definitely benefiting a lot from this move. The good PR is just a bonus.

How awesome is it that David Blatt, a career basketball, journeyman/grinder/run&gun coach, now finds himself at the helm of a team with Kyrie Irving and LeBron James on the roster and possibly Kevin Love? After decades in Europe and Israel climbing the ranks, this is his reward. Great story. Really looking forward to watching that city and team next year.

Good for him. Bad for Miami fans.

Yeah, that's no good for Miami. It's going to be Toronto all over again for Bosh. There's no much to look forward to for the Heat.

Couldn't Bosh have gotten similar money from Houston?

I think 4, 96mil is the max Houston could offer.
Can't wait for Heat v Cavs on TNT.

And the Rockets just gave up a first to dump Jeremy Lin. For nothing. Ha ha ha.
