Re: NBA 10-11
it appears the ever-busy Dell Demps has made two more trades, both with Toronto.
Don't know the specifics of each deal specifically, but the total is Peja Stojakovic and Jerryd Bayless to Toronto for Jarrett Jack, David Anderson and Marcus Banks. It's also possible the Chris Bosh trade exception is involved as well. Had to be split into two deals because Bayless by rules can't be traded with another player until nearly Christmas.
It's probably a small upgrade for New Orleans. Jack is better than Bayless, but we just traded a 1st to Portland for Bayless, so it's a bit odd. But, Jack's also one of CP3's good friends, and it doesn't appear the team is ready to just let him walk in two years. Plus... Peja's expiring should bring in more than Jack and Anderson. If the trade exception is in there, it makes a lot more sense.
I can't criticize it too much though given what Demps and Monty Williams have done in such a short time. Belinelli for Julian Wright is a huge steal, Ariza's been as good as advertised, and Willie Green and Jason Smith are both solid bench players. The only Hornets players remaining on the roster from a year ago are Chris Paul, David West, Emeka Okafor and Marcus Thornton... and I'd imagine Thornton's days are numbered.

I knew Blake Griffin was a beast above the rim. I didn't know he could do that.

He's the most athletic big man I've ever seen. He has the explosiveness of a great wing player in a 6' 10" body. The Third Man wrote:Holy cow.

Holy cow is right. He's got one of the vertical jumps that seems to defy the laws of physics. The Third Man wrote:Holy cow.

btw - anyone watch the Bulls/Mavs game the other night? That was the best game I've seen this year anywhere in the NBA. And kudos to Mark Cuban - if I owned a team that is EXACTLY how I would act.

Re: NBA 10-11
Kemp's memory has been ruined by his last five years plodding around at 280 lbs. In his prime he set the gold standard, but I think Griffin will have a better highlight reel and be a better overall player by the time he's done.thrill wrote:He is not the most athletic big man you've ever seen.cardsfansince82 wrote:He's the most athletic big man I've ever seen.
