Maybe she's talking about gluten. My daughter can't have gluten, and there are a number of beers out there that she can have - mainly sorghum and rice based, since both barley and wheat are on the no-can-do list. New Grist from Lakeside Brewery in Milwaukee, Bard's Tale Ale, and AB's Redbridge are all GF beers.
She's in London this fall, settling for hard cider when she goes pub hopping.

Last night there was Dmitroff Vodka(I'm poor) and sugar free lemonade mixed(I'm poor), then finished with Bud lights(don't mock the light beer, I haven't had it in a while).

Surprisingly very good...
Looks very interesting.
Heavy Handed IPA is brewed to celebrate the harvesting of the
hops every year. Within moments of harvest we add freshly picked
"Wet Hops" to this IPA. Since the hops have not been dried before
use, they add a wonderful character found in no other beer.
A hop lovers dream.
(Available September through December)
Available in: 6 packs; half barrel & sixth barrel American sanke kegs
I'll be sure to post a picture tomorrow when I have another. It's not my favorite IPA I've had but it could creep into the top 5.
This is what I'm trying now... Dogfish Head Punkin Ale(not my pic)
I'm not a big fan of "pumpkin" beers but this isn't overpowering like some of the others I've tried. I don't think I've disliked anything I've tried from the Dogfish people.
I got off early and surged a few Guinness (Guinnesses? I need a ruling on this one) at work, then it was Negra Modela and some live music across the street. I come home to find a half bottle of Bailey's and some chardonnay. I just poured the chardonnay into a pint glass. Ugh.
