I mean, the studies that show scoring runs correlates high with on-base percentage. Raddy may not agree with what Weaver did, but looking over the 1969 and 1970 offensive numbers show it was pretty effective. OPS+ of 119 in '69 and 114 in '70. They led the league in walks by a big margin in '70 and I doubt any of them were wasted directly afterwards by a sac bunt.jim wrote:At least one that I know of, or at least one article.
