Complain all you want guys. Now I know which comedians to like and how I should have my eggs prepared.

Thanks Life Sherpa!

I'm with 33 on the scrambles eggs. Might as well use powdered eggs if you're just going to crack eggs in a bowl and pour them in a pan.

Scrambling isn't the process of beating them in a bowl. That's beating or whisking. Scrambling eggs is the process once they're in the pan.
So what's the answer?

I skip the bowl. I just crack the eggs on the hot plate and mix them all up. I honestly didn't know there was anything more to it. So I have learned something in this thread - which I think is that people will overcomplicate everything including scrambled eggs.

I have a good friend that used to eat raw eggs at parties whole, shell and all. He'd just pop it in his mouth and start crunching away, yolk and shells running down his mouth and him just grinning ear to ear.

Scrambled eggs jim-style would have been a huge improvement over those.

The name of the thread is "fine dining" after all. Have your buddy eat this egg; that I'd like to see at a party.

Let's talk toast. Lightly brown, butter, and grape jelly. Having trouble getting the butter to spread right.

pfffft - let me guess, you use a toaster to make toast.

and funny that you mention, heard this podcast exploring the roots of artisanal toast trend in SF. Of course, that trend is probably already yesterday's news, ruined and moved out to ye bourgeois suburbanites

If I recall, actually kind of a cool story - hippie lady with mental issues opens place and serves only the oddball foods she finds comfort in - toast, coconuts - and it ends up becoming trendy -and she gets her issues under control.
