I'm in the same boat as you guys. I have a [expletive] load of stuff on my DVR but can't ever seem to pull the trigger on watching any of them. I end up watching a rerun of something or something stupid like house hunters or cooking shows. I have been watching the People v. OJ show though.MrSaigon wrote:And Bob's Burgers. It's kind of cool sometimes to find a TV series late in the game, where you can binge watch a ton of episodes. Forever family and friends have been telling me I just have to watch Big Bang Theory, because of the nature of my work. The LAST thing I wanted was to watch a show that reminded me of work, so I passed.
Last fall, my good friend mike mentioned that the show was pretty funny, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Over the past few months this show has turned out to be maybe my favorite of all time. Yes, it definitely does remind me of work, but the good stuff - the quirky and fun people. The stuff I like best about where I work, not the crappy stuff which makes up 98% of my day now.
I like how accurate the show is, both about the science and kind of life in that field. For example the Feynman van episode - that van was parked on our campus last summer for about a month. I was in that van, it really exists, the stories about Feynman taking his family on camping trips in it - all true. Stuff like that. And what is cool is that you don't to know that they are really being accurate to appreciate and enjoy the episode. Someone on the writing staff or a consultant or something really knows their stuff.
We bought the entire first season and watched it in order, and then just started watching reruns wherever. I can't say I was in love with it even after the first season, but somewhere along the way I just have grown to love this show.

All these reviewers of Fuller House must be unaware of the slew of tween laughtrack sitcoms on Nick and Disney. This is already a genre and they're acting like it's a bizarre new thing.
I just don't understand who Fuller House is for. I watched 10 minutes because I was curious, like many who had nothing else to watch but Full House in syndication until cable reached them.

Only saw the first episode. Better than my very low expecations. My kid wasnt too interested-i guess the extra seconds to get netflix whirring is not worth it over the flipping on Nickelodeon.MrSaigon wrote:All these reviewers of Fuller House must be unaware of the slew of tween laughtrack sitcoms on Nick and Disney. Not sure what reviewers are seeing-unless Stephanie goes topless in later episode

No, no, no they hate it. But they're fascinated by it because they've never seen his kind of thing before. 'Parody porn without the porn' was one review.Freed Roger wrote:Only saw the first episode.
