It seems the long-rumored "Deadwood" TV movie will actually happen.

File this under several months ago, but I finally plowed through the second-half of Mr. Robot. Good stuff. A bit too much of the existential stuff for me, and I don't care for the illuminati turn it appears to take at the end--but man, that was definitely the most interesting show I've watched in a while.

Wouldn't be surprised if it loses the thread like The Matrix.

Definitely. It was originally a movie script that he stretched to a series. Never planned to take it this far. Hopefully they stick the landing.

From what Esmail has said, I think we're only about 1/3 through that movie. So they've already stretched it out a bit. I hope they get a handle on Wellick. I don't understand the character. Maybe I'm not supposed to but he's more bothersome than he is intriguing.

If Elliot is also Wellick, I quit.

Absolutely, and it sure felt to me like they were sewing that seed.

Also a bit of pre-credits spoilage for me:

I saw BD Wong's name, and know him as the 'they're all females' guy from Jurassic Park, and recognized him as the lady White Rose, so the illuminati bit at the end didn't pop for me. Was he the only guy in Jurassic Park and Jurassic World? that's why I knew the name.

This should happen, if only in SNL sketch form:
