I don't know [expletive] about football and haven't seen Manning play in a while, but there were some throws today that were just pitiful in my mind. Does he hang them up now? I like Manning, always been one of my favorite players. But, dang....
It's painful for me to even think about him not playing............ and personally I think he'll keep playing.

I'm too biased to come right out and say that he's toast, but I will concede that I'm concerned. He looked terrible today, and the last several weeks of the regular season. He's either hurt or just lost the skills needed to play QB in the NFL.
He still has the skills, but it just seems like that nerve damage he sustained is holding him back. I just think he can't do what he wants to do.
I'm not entirely sure what you're saying. I don't know if it's the nerve damage or what. His accuracy has been poor, his velocity is down, his decision-making has been questionable (by Peyton Manning standards, anyway). He's either hurt, or old age has caught up to him.

Peyton Manning was noncommittal on his playing future following the Broncos' playoff loss to the Colts.
"I can't answer every what-if circumstance," said Manning, who turns 39 in two months. "What if you're not as healthy? What if certain coaches leave? I can't answer every what-if situation. I think I'll have to take some time to see how I feel, see how I feel physically." The Broncos are tentatively expected to move on from John Fox, which could affect Manning's decision. We would guess the Broncos want Manning back -- at least for one more year -- despite his hefty $19 million base salary.

I guess I'm saying that his injury wears him down as the year goes on. He obviously still "has it" for 8-9 weeks, then tapers off. That tells me he still has the skills, but isn't healthy to play a full season anymore.

I see what you're saying. Just doesn't have the stamina?

It might just be old age. Honestly, beyond not being able to do what he used to do, he's pretty clearly lost a lot of confidence, too. He just looks done, kinda like Brett Favre his last season.

They'll be gentle, but I think they will. I think they should.

Nothing would surprise me, though. The team may look exactly the same next year or it could be a complete overhaul.

Panthers are drafting after 11 teams that have better records than them, this is funnier than it should be.

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning played Sunday's divisional-round playoff game and the past month of the season with a torn right quadriceps, two sources told ESPN.

Manning initially injured his thigh when he rolled out right to throw a 12-yard completion to Emmanuel Sanders late in the first half of Denver's Dec. 14 victory over the San Diego Chargers.

If this is true, then even more reason to fire John Fox, in my opinion.

Peyton Manning wants to be Andrew Luck when he grows up.
