If I lived in Buffalo, NY I would just go to the falls and jump. That's [expletive] stupid.

Buffalo was certainly hit pretty hard. Future-Mrs. Swirls said the forecast is calling for them to get hit tonight - up to four feet.

As bad as Buffalo normally gets (averages 100" annually I think), Oswego averages 2.5x as much every year. If you drive roughly a half hour due East from Oswego, you'll hit the Tug Hill plateau - a spot that averages 100" more than Oswego.

I liked the snow, I absolutely loved firing up the tractor at 5am and driving around pushing it across the driveway with the bucket and loader, making big ass piles of snow all over my yard. But I can honestly say I won't really miss it.

I HATE winter. I'm cold right now to the bones. If you like this then there is something seriously wrong with your nervous system and you should go to a specialists and find out what going on with you. You probably have nervous system cancer or something.

I can't even read these stories of Buffalo and Oswego. Seriously I was reading swirls account above and I just grimaced, shook my head, and looked away.

The heavy snow is common along the Tug Hill Plateau, a 50-mile wedge that rises 2,100 feet from the lake's eastern shore. It usually gets about 300 inches — roughly 25 feet — of snow a year. The hamlet of Hooker holds the state's one-year record with 466.9 inches, about 39 feet, in winter 1976-77.

I would be more surprised if a Hooker *didn't* have the record for taking the most inches in a year.

I doubt many reside in Hooker. They probably do whatever business they have there and get out.
