Anyway, congratulations on what has to be the biggest win for the Missouri football program in a long time. They could wind up in the SEC Championship Game. Wouldn't that be wild?
You must be a big fan of Mauk.

No idea who that is, not a fan of Mizzou. Just issuing a belated congratulations to all the Mizzou fans on the board.

Franklin, the QB was close to Manziel in statistics and is out 3-5 weeks (most of the season) and the injury occurred during that game.

lots of anxiety after, despite the ranking and the win. Mauk is the back up.

Mauk, young and untested, but by all appearances, is no slouch. Different style QB than Franklin, but still- athletic enough to run the spread and win

on the plus side, while Franklin and the MU first team were playing Indiana and Little Sisters of the Poor State U, Matty was suiting up on the practice squad of Bama's opponents.

Hmm... I could see it going either way, really. Franklin's a bruising runner, not necessarily a gazelle or anything. Or, maybe parts of both. And part of Mauk's scouting report includes escapability.

Basically, I wouldn't be shocked if Mauk was the faster runner.

Gabbert had a better 40 time than both, but he has the agility of a three-legged elephant so it didn't do him much good in game action.

I'd expect Mauk's scrambling/running effectiveness to be about the same as Franklin, at least in terms of ground covered.

Mauk is not afraid. I'll give him that much. Tigers looking good minus the special teams.

This team is for real. Pretty much doing what they want against a very good defense. The offensive line looks great. If they executed a little better this would be a complete blowout rather than settling for so many FGs.
