I feel the same way. I think partially it's because, even though the rewards of winning feel almost as high, the cost of losing feels even higher than those games. Stupid new conference jitters.JL21 wrote:As excited as I am for this weekend's game, I have to admit that I'm not as excited as I was for the KU game in 2007 or the OU game in 2010.

Two days out, I'm starting to feel it a little more. It's still not OU or KU game levels but it's getting there.

SEC folks are baffled by the word "Mizzou." I'm seeing Missou, Mizzu, Mizzo... but very rarely Mizzou. I'm not sure what's so difficult.

I've seen a few of those outside of SEC country, too- most often Misso and Missou.
I'd rather beat the opponent's best but I'd be lying if I said this didn't make me happy.

Unless there is a grand bit of subterfuge taking place, it appears the drama is over and Georgia will indeed be without Bacarri Rambo and Alec Ogletree on Saturday at Missouri.
The status of Rambo and Ogletree, suspended for last week's opener, has been the source of much conjecture and speculation. But neither player made the trip to Missouri on Friday afternoon, according to sources, as well as their own Twitter feeds.
"Maybe another week," Ogletree tweeted, as the Bulldogs were getting on the team plane.
"Two down," Rambo tweeted at about the same time.
Of course, there is risk in assuming too much from tweets. However, senior outside linebacker Cornelius Washington tweeted this as the plane was taking off: "Shoutout to the soldiers we have to leave behind. Y'all will be missed!"

I'm kind of surprised the line has gone down to Georgia -2. I would be tempted to grab Georgia at that price and it's hard to believe more of the betting public hasn't.

This seems like a perfect game to bet on and then be happy either way. It's a perfect hedge.cardsfansince82 wrote:I'm kind of surprised the line has gone down to Georgia -2. I would be tempted to grab Georgia at that price and it's hard to believe more of the betting public hasn't.

The betting public drove the line to where it is now.cardsfansince82 wrote:I'm kind of surprised the line has gone down to Georgia -2. I would be tempted to grab Georgia at that price and it's hard to believe more of the betting public hasn't.

I understand that. The betting public is either showing more knowledge than normal, or people are avoiding this one altogether. Normally a top 10 team would be much bigger favorites than -2 against an unranked team.lukethedrifter wrote:The betting public drove the line to where it is now.cardsfansince82 wrote:I'm kind of surprised the line has gone down to Georgia -2. As I said earlier, I think most knowledgable football people have more faith in Missouri than the people here are giving them credit for. I'm sure there are a few SEC loudmouths selling Missouri short, but I think those folks are in the minority.lukethedrifter wrote:The betting public drove the line to where it is now.cardsfansince82 wrote:I'm kind of surprised the line has gone down to Georgia -2.
