Friends don't let friends listen to indie rock

There are people who take ibuprofen when they have a headache. There are people who take ibuprofen every day because they can't get through the day without it. There are people who drink a cup of coffee now and then to enjoy the taste. There are people who can't function until they've had at least their third cup of coffee. There are people who smoke a cigarette now and then in social situations. There are people who need to smoke 2 packs a day. There are people who like to smoke a joint every now and then when wanting to relax or when in company of friends, to enhance the moment or enjoy the high. There are people who need to smoke joints/get high every day.

The only difference between people in the first case of each scenario and the second case in each scenario is that the second group has an addiction. That and some of them are labelled criminals.

Despite some of the characterizations made earlier in this thread, it’s a pretty diverse genre.
